ELIGIBILITY: You must be a legal resident of Oregon or Washington who is thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of entry and who has video-capturing and uploading capabilities to participate in this contest. For all contestants under the age of eighteen (18), a parent or legal guardian must accept all rules and regulations. The parent/guardian must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. Winners of previous KGW-TV contests are not eligible to win another Belo Corp. contest within a 90-day period. Void where prohibited by law.
Employees, temporary employees, independent contractors and interns of KGW-TV, Belo Interactive, Inc., Belo Corp., UPICKEM, Portland Area Management International, Inc. (Portland Area Management”) and its franchisees and their respective subsidiaries, parents, partners, other contest sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies (hereinafter “Contest Providers”) and the immediate family members of each, and any persons living with, any such employees are not eligible to enter or to win. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren..

HOW TO ENTER: You may enter Online by logging into your Upickem.net account, or if you are a new user visit http://kgw.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=1037 and follow the links and instructions to create a Upickem.net account. Creating an account is free. Once you have logged in to your Upickem.net account, follow the links and instructions to the Create Your Own Action Sport Video Clip contest observing all posted deadlines (see DEADLINES below). Read and, if acceptable to you, click to accept the Official Contest Rules. Acceptance is required to enter the Contest. ONE ENTRY PER PERSON FOR THE DURATION OF THE CONTEST.

IF YOUR VIDEO CONTAINS LIKENESSES OF ANYONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF, YOU MUST OBTAIN RELEASES FROM SUCH PARTIES (OR THEIR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN IF UNDER THE AGE OF 18) GRANTING THE SPONSOR THE RIGHT TO DISPLAY THEIR LIKENESS ON KGW.COM
DEADLINES: The contest entry period begins at 12:01am on July 28, 2009 and ends at 11:59pm on August 10, 2009.
No submissions will be accepted after the deadline for any reason. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of the on-line Contest will be Belo Interactive’s server machine(s) located in the Central Standard Time (CST) zone. Contestants entering close to the posted deadline do so with this information in mind.
SUBMISSION FORMAT AND CONTENT REQUIREMENTS.
Video Length: 120 seconds.

Technical Requirements Video file(s) of any Submission entered in the Contest must be exactly 120 seconds in length. The maximum file size for any single video file uploaded to is 100 MB Video file(s) submitted to your UPICKEM account must be provided in one of the following file formats: avi, .dv, .mov, .qt, .mp4, .mpeg, .3gp, .asf, .wmv, .mpg, .mp3
Additional Requirements
oSubmission must be primarily in English.
oThe person obtaining the Contest ID and uploading the Submission will be deemed the entrant ("Entrant"). The Entrant is the one (1) person who is the authorized account holder of the Contest ID and the email address associated with that Contest ID. In the event of dispute regarding the identity of the holder of a Contest ID, dispute will be resolved in favor of the individual who is both the authorized holder of the Contest ID and password associated with the Account (based upon information submitted at the time the Account was created or updated upon registration for this Contest) and, if available, the "authorized e-mail account holder" of the provided when the Contest ID was created. "Authorized email account holder" is defined as the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (i.e., business, education institution) responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. If any group of individuals elects to collaborate on a Submission, they are required to designate one (1) person as the agent of the group to enter the Contest, agree to these rules and accept the prize on behalf of the group. Neither Sponsor nor any of the Contest Providers are liable for any disputes between collaborators arising under or related to the Contest.
o.Each Submission must be suitable for display and publication on national television (i.e., may not be obscene or indecent, including but not limited to nudity, pornography or profanity); it must not contain defamatory statements (including but not limited to words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group), it must not include threats to any person, place, business, group or world peace, it must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity, and it must not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations or network standards.
oEach Submission must not contain any copyrighted works (other than as owned by the Entrant, or the Portland Area Management brand assets provided by the Sponsor for use by Entrants in connection with this Contest). Any elements appearing in your Submission, including without limitation music, audio, speech/voiceovers, stills, video, supers, or other audiovisual materials used must be entirely original, created and performed by you, or be in the public domain. Use of any elements, including without limitation music, audio, speech/voiceovers, video, stills, visuals, or other materials that are not original or in the public domain may result in disqualification of Submission, in Sponsor's sole discretion.
Submissions that do not comply with the UPICKEM Terms of Use or these Official Rules or that otherwise contain prohibited, or inappropriate content as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will be disqualified and will not be published or considered for a prize. Sponsor makes the final determination as to which Submissions are eligible to take part in this Contest and be considered for a Finalist Prize. No Submissions will be returned. Contest Providers may, in their sole discretion, remove, delete and/or disqualify Submissions deemed to be inappropriate or otherwise non-compliant

One (1) Third Place Prize is a pair of 1-day passes to the Dew Tour Wendy’s Innovational Portland 2009. Valued at $30
One (1) Second Place Prize is a pair of 4-day passes to the Dew Tour Wendy’s Innovational Portland 2009plus a prize pack. Valued at $200.
One (1) Grand Prize is A scholarship to Camp Woodward (http://www.campwoodward.com/), which includes training, room and meals for a week. AND a 4-day passes to the Dew Tour Wendy’s Innovational Portland 2009. Valued at $1,200
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. By participating in contest and accepting a prize, participants and winner will be deemed to agree to these Rules. Travel is not included unless specifically stated. Winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local income and any other taxes, fees and surcharges. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued for all prizes with a retail value in excess of $600. Contest Providers reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
WINNER SELECTION: Winner selection will take place as follows:
All qualified submissions will be uploaded to http://kgw.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=1037 where online users will vote for their favorite video. Winners will be selected by voting from all qualified entries received by the deadline. Voting will start at 12:01 a.m. on July 28, 2009 and end at 11:59 p.m. on August 10, 2009. The three videos with the highest number of votes will be declared the winners. In the event of a tie, the winner will be selected by a random draw from the tied entries. Winner selection will be made by the sponsor, whose decision will be final in all respects. Winners will be notified by e-mail, phone, U.S. mail and/or overnight courier on or near date specified. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) business days, an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining entries by the next highest number of votes according to the voting tool at the contest deadline.In order to be named a winner, potential winners and their parents/legal guardians may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance Form/Release of liability upon accepting a prize. Noncompliance will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected.
USE OF CONTEST INFORMATION: Notwithstanding any contrary provision in any of Contest Providers' respective privacy policies, Contestants grant to Contest Providers, and Contest Providers reserve, the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information provided by Contestants in connection with the Contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law. Contestants may be required to sign a release, which grants to Contest Providers the right to use and publish their proper name and state of residence online or in any other media in connection with the Contest. By accepting a prize, winner(s) and their parents/legal guardians will be required to sign a release that grants permission to Contest Providers to use his or her name, photograph, likeness, voice, prize information and/or biographical information for publicity and promotional purposes without future compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Contest Providers, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize won. Restrictions, conditions and limitations apply.
CONDUCT: By entering the Contest, you agree to be bound by the Official Rules. The Official Rules will be posted at http://kgw.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=1037 throughout the Contest. Contestants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the Contest Providers, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Contest Providers reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Web site; or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. You agree that in your participation in the Contest you will not use obscene, libelous or slanderous language, or language that infringes upon a third party's trademark, trade name or other intellectual property right or right of privacy. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KGW-TV, Belo Interactive, Inc., Belo Corp., UPICKEM, Portland Area Management and its franchisees and their respective subsidiaries, parents, partners, or other contest sponsors, officers, consultants, agents, and employees against and from all claims, damages liabilities, costs and expenses asserted by third parties alleging that the Contest includes obscenity, libel, slander, or infringes upon the third party's intellectual property or privacy rights, as a direct result of your actions in connection with the Contest. You further agree to not knowingly damage or cause interruption of the Contest or to prevent others' participation in the Contest.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE BELO WEB SITES OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CONTEST PROVIDERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Winners assume liability for losses or injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive any prize. Contest Providers are not responsible: (i) for any lost, late, illegible, incomplete entries; or (ii) for any incorrect or inaccurate information, in the Contest or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest. Contest Providers assume no responsibility for an error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction of authorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Contest Providers are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Contest. If the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including legal restrictions, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Contest Providers that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Contest Providers reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
RULES / WINNERS LIST: Official Rules and the name of the winner may be obtained by sending a self addressed, stamped #10 envelope to: KGW-TV, 1501 SW Jefferson, Portland, OR 97201. Indicate “Create Your Action Sport Video Clip Rules Request" or " Create Your Action Sport Video Clip Rules Winners List" on the outside of the envelope as applicable. Limit one (1) request per envelope. The request must include the name of the contest. Winners List will be available 5 days after the winners are confirmed.
